The on going quest to produce ever-lighter bicycle parts, has led many component manufacturers to design lightweight products that are often compromised in some way. A full titanium cassette is one example...
Titanium is lighter than steel, and is very strong, but it has a much lower resistance to wear, in some cases half that of steel, not good when you consider that a full titanium cassette costs approximately twice the price of a steel version.

Our experience within the F1 industry, has enabled us to provide some extremely advanced surface treatments, for example 'Titanium Nitride' (TiN).

Titanium Nitride is an attractive gold coloured coating, which has a hardness rating in excess of 2000HV, with a very low coefficient of friction and excellent wear properties.

It is also applied to high speed cutting tools, and can extend service life by 8–10 times. Applied to titanium, it reduces galling and significantly improves sliding wear performance. Less wear, less friction, better shifts, and longer service life...

Options: We offer custom Tune full titanium cassettes with ceramic spacers, for Shimano 9 speed, and Campagnolo 10 speed only, 11-23 & 12-25. Or we can supply full Titanium Campagnolo Record cassettes coated (We can also coat standard half titanium versions, although this is not as cost effective)
