Schmolke Carbon Carbon MTB Bars

All Schmolke MTB handlebars are manufactured with a straight middle section of 180 mm wide; the outer part is then angled backwards by 6°. The MTB cross country and downhill handlebars are designed to be used with bar-ends, and may safely be shortened up to 5mm on both sides, as they feature a strengthened part with extra layers of carbon on which to mount the bar-end. 'So we strongly advice you to order the width you will need in the end!' We can supply any width from 46cm to 60cm wide.
For the downhill bars Schmolke add two extra layers of fibre roving to prevent the bars from cracking after a crash.
If you are not interested in using bar-ends you can save another 23grams by choosing the appropriate handlebar without the otherwise necessary reinforcements. These handlebars are just as strong as the others and they may be shortened up to 10mm on each side.
