SRM (Schoberer Rad Messtechnik) is a group of highly qualified designers and engineers, whose aim is to develop and produce the ultimate, training, racing, aerodynamic and ergometer testing equipment in cycling.
SRM began development in 1986 and with their experience and input from leading authorities e.g. Universities in Italy, Great Britain, USA and Germany, professional trainers and professional bicycle racers. Whose feedback and technical know how has influenced the further development of the SRM Training System.



SRM power cranks, have been the secret training weapon of champions like Michele Bartoli, Jan Ullrich, Lance Armstrong, Francesco Casagrande, Romans Vainsteins, Davide Rebellin, Eric Zabel, Andrej Tchmil, Marco Pantani for years, and now the exact same system is available to everyone!
This 'Training System' has allowed professional racers to gain the most important information about their training, performance and physical condition, and these cyclists and many others certainly rely on their SRM system. The SRM is the only device which can supply you with accurate data concerning your training progress and physical condition without falsification usually occurring in laboratories, where outside factors such as climate, wind, race situations etc. are not accounted for.



The SRM Training System makes it possible for the first time to measure the real Power in watts on your own bicycle in outside training and competition under real conditions. All SRM Systems are waterproof, (except SRM track / science) and cranks are available from 165mm - 180mm in 2.5mm steps. The cranks are designed to fit 102mm Campagnolo ISO bottom brackets, 103mm Shimano JIS bottom brackets, Shimano 'Octalink' bottom brackets, and 113mm Shimano XTR MTB bottom bracket axles. The heartrate measurement works with an uncoded heart rate transmitter only.

SRM measures and indicates:

• Power (An average of torque & cadence applied to the cranks, measured in watts)
• Heartrate (Information received via an uncoded radio transmitter (Not supplied), received by an inductive coil in the Powercontrol)
• Cadence (The angular velocity applied to the cranks, measured per revolution via a reed contact switch at the Powermeter)
• Speed (Reed contact switch & magnet, measure wheel speed)
• Distance (Reed contact switch & magnet measure wheel circumference)
